Innovative Crates
Schoeller Arca Systems is the biggest producer of beverage transport packaging worldwide. Customer-oriented, our principle is to work closely with the customer from the concept phase, through design and technical development to the introduction of the product. Our crates are a good example of this. Our ideas and innovations aim to save time and money for the consumer, and most have become state-of-the-art.
Examples of Schoeller Arca Systems’ successful crate innovations and features:
Grips such as lamella grip, air-mould, air-mould lamella, soft touch and supporting middle-hand grips, for ease of handling of crates and boxes
Dividable crates, for easy handling and maximum utilisation of space
Screen printing (high resolution). Screen printing is the most versatile of all printing processes. It can be used to print on a wide variety of materials, any product (such as crates), of any shape, size or thickness.
With screen printing, a greater thickness of ink can be applied than is possible with other printing processes. This allows for some very interesting effects that are not possible using other methods. The application is a simple process, meaning a wider range of inks and dyes are available for use.
In-mould labelling (IML). An excellent alternative to printing and the application of adhesive labels to decorate products and provide price and other information. Much progress has been made in plastics processing over the last few years in an effort to integrate bright decorations and save time and the costs involved with printing.
Packaging products such as crates with an appealing design, accurate bar codes, and product information specified by law to appear on the packaging are some of the main motivations for applying the in-mould labelling method. In-mould labelling produces a high quality of decoration, reduces contamination, and with IML it is possible to decorate all five outer surfaces at the same time.
Schoeller Arca Systems has also introduced many newsworthy products to the UK market in the last three years, including:
