The food segment is one of the largest markets for Schoeller Arca Systems.  We are meeting the increasing demand for integrated international logistical solutions with our broad pallet range.  These can be combined with large or small foldable plastic containers, providing a complete logistical system for food production, all the way from the field to the processing plant, to the supermarket shelf.

Schoeller Arca Systems designs specific products to satisfy different markets: foldable large plastic containers, the big box, classic box and our plastic pallets are popular with many of our customers.

The Magnum SH 760 is used for transporting pieces of beef in bulk from the slaughterhouse to different hamburger producers, while a nestable box with lid and access door serves for deliveries of meat directly to the shops. The Big Box plastic container can be used to collect feathers from poultry processing, with the pallet for transport.

The pallet is compatible with most plastic containers and materials handling equipment.  Plastic pallets are lightweight, do not absorb moisture so have a constant weight, and are safe to handle, with no nails or splinters.  Additional features of plastic pallets are that they are weather resistant, they stack and nest for excellent space utilisation, they can be easily repaired or replaced and can be uniquely coloured or branded.  Schoeller Arca System’s range includes heavy-duty hygienic pallets, specifically for the food/beverage industry.  

The bottle crate is another successful speciality of Schoeller Arca Systems. Whatever the liquid, we’ve got an appropriate solution in our range of crates. Here, where marketing and design are essential, the crate acts as an advertising medium for the beverage during transportation and at the point of sale. Schoeller Arca Systems has therefore developed advanced techniques in crate production, such as in-mould labelling, silk printing and hot printing.  These are a lot more advanced than traditional printing processes, and the results are very effective.

Our know-how in gas and water injection techniques offer optimal hygiene as we are able to eliminate the ribs necessary for solidity of boxes, without reducing the resistance of the plastic container.
